Definitely my newest favorite book of all time!

I don’t know what to begin. This book just blew me away! I remember that it was in one of the Owlcrate boxes and later on all the good reviews started to appear everywhere. I thought I had to check it out. It’s late May release, so I’m not that behind, but I wish I read it sooner! It’s that awesome!

I’m not an artist in the way that most people understand it. I’m web designer and I draw in my computer only, but all my life I’m surrounded by art and I felt touched. Eliza, the main character, is what it seems like an introvert and she’s immersed in her art, which millions of people like, but no one knows that she’s the one creating it! She usually don’t speak with people and she don’t feel it necessary. Her friends are online and she prefer it that way. And oh how much I relate to this – my laptop is my life.

Then it comes Wallace and he is the most famous fanfiction writer of her webcomic. He, himself, has his struggles, but the difference is that he has the courage to tell Eliza about it and she still cannot tell him that she’s LadyConstellation. What I love in their relationship is their way of communication – it is so romantic, but it also cover their mental state. It’s so good.

I so love this book! It’s one of my most favorite books now! Not only because of the story, but also because it delivers so many messages. It deals with anxiety, family relationship, the loss of loved ones and also romance between two people, who fights with their own monsters!

The art – there’s so much art in this book – the art as a drawing, the art as writing. The devotion and the love for your own creations. It’s not about the earning, but about desire and inspiration, the fact that you put yourself out there and you receive acceptance – this is so valuable and I’m glad that I was able to see it represented in the book. I love it that it shows how much hard work it needs to be there and to be recognized for your talent, not for the person you are and not for where in society you belong!

I love the way the author wrote Eliza feelings when it was discovered who she is. Her thoughts about what’s the point of her existence – I had those too and I felt the same.

Broken people don’t hide from their monsters. Broken people let themselves be eaten.

But also how we deal with ourselves during these moments – this is important. It is, right? Don’t give up, your life is worth it!!! Everyone needs to here it, really needs it, in the exact moment.

Worth as a person is not based on any tangible evidence. There’s no test for it, no scale. Everyone’s got their own idea of what it is.

“Eliza and Her Monsters” really made me think and I really really loved it! I can’t recommend it enough and my new mission is to make everyone go and read it! This book is love! Just love it!
