I’ve heard a lot about this book through BookTube and one day while browsing at Book Depository, just added it to my list and bought it. I didn’t expected it to be that large – 528 pages for a contemporary book is a bit much, right? And as always, it took me some months to get into it. This time, it was because of Valintine’s Day – I wanted to read some romantic book. I thought that it will take me lots of time to read it, considering the fact that it’s English and it’s a large book, but surprisingly it took me just 3 days.

The story is interesting, for sure. But it’s kind of a book, that I’m not planning to re-read. It’s about a girl, which have always under her control, but everything changes quite too fast and there isn’t even a spot from her plan for the summer. And here comes the trouble.

Andie is not my very favorite character. I doubt lots of her decisions, she was annoying at times and I wanted just to get into the book and stop her. But she was also cute, even thought. I tried to understand. On the other hand, I didn’t liked her friends as well. They are all teens, I know, but some of their conversations and things they do was… “no comment”. I liked Palmer the most, because she was the normal one.

Clark is actually my most favorite character from the book. I liked that Morgan Matson wrote a book, including main character being a writer. It was exciting to see what kind of a life a writer can have. But he was also kind, understanding and sweet clumsy. Can I have him, please? xD

I also liked the writing. This is the first book that I read by Morgan Matson and I do plan buying some of her other books. It’s funny how I was able to go through such big book for 3 days only. It was interesting to read that chats and emojis used in the conversations.

Overall, it’s a nice book, preferably read during the summer. I like it, because it’s easy-going. Give it a try!
