I haven’t been here for a long time, I know. But here I am, finally, and these are the books that I read during the month of May! Yeah!~
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sara J Maas
This is the third and final book from Feyre’s POV in ACOTAR world. And I love it. Queen Maas made me laugh, made me cry, made me want to throw the book away, but it was worth it. I love the ending and all the things that happened. All characters were very interesting and I can’t wait to see from which point of view will be the next book. Obviously, 5/5 stars.
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
Very big and scary book, but I finally read it. I heard that this book is really something and lots of BookTubers recommends it, so I gave it a go. It’s slow paced, but very interesting book and we have a whole new idea of the magic, especially the power of the Name. The main character Kvothe is so interesting and I was fascinated to read all about his life. I gave the book 5/5 stars and will slowly prepare myself for the next book.
Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett
I loved this book. It was sweet and so so nice. I like such kind of book, which makes you forget all around you and just want to sit and read more and more. I loved both main characters, but Porter is really bae. It’s shame there’s no such guys in real life. I do recommend it for people who like sweet contemporary books. Rating: 4/5 stars.
And I Darken by Kiersten White
I wanted to read this book for very long time and I finally picked it up in May. It started interesting, but after 100 pages everything just became boring. You see, I’m from Bulgaria and I pretty much know the history and some of the things in the book were so wrong, I couldn’t stand it. I know it’s fiction, but it bothered me so much and I have no idea how I had the strength to finish the whole book. Lada was interesting character, but Mehmed was boring, and Radu – I hated him with passion. I’m masochist and I’ll try to read the next book, hoping it will get better. Full review to come soon in Review section. Rating: 3/5 stars.
Destroy Me by Tahereh Mafi
Warner wasn’t my favorite character, but it was interesting to be in his head. This short story made me think differently about him and to try understand him a little. I gave it 3/5 stars.
Geekerella by Ashley Poston
Sweet and romantic, I loved it. As a person, who usually ends up in fandoms, it was interesting for me to read this story. It’s a very different take on Cinderella’s story and it gives many ideas. This is really the book, which made me renew this site the way it is now. Elle and Damien were so sweet and portrayed everything so perfectly, I wasn’t able to stop reading. I gave it 4/5 stars and maybe will reread it some time again.
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
Yes, I killed myself in the end of the month. As the release date of “Lord of Shadows” came closer I decided to reread the first book to refresh my memories. And I loved it once again. I give it 5/5 stars for the second read as well.
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare
Well, after finishing the first book, I immediately began reading “Lord of Shadows” and this book absolutely blew me away. Cassandra’s writing is going better and better in every next book of hers. This book is so complicated, I can’t even describe it. All those feels… I really can’t right now. Full review will come very very soon. No other chance, but to give this book 5/5 stars. I have no idea how am I supposed to wait 2 full year for the release of the 3rd book. This will be torture for sure.
