Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone: Editions

Happy 20th Anniversary, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone! Yes, I know, I’m a little bit late, but as a huge Harry Potter fan I decided to acknowledge this huge anniversary by creating some posts about the book and following later about the whole series. I’ve been a fan for 16 years already! I can’t believe how the time flies. 20 years are a lot and as we know it, there is tons of different editions of the books. In this first post I’m going to showcase some of my favorite covers and some iconic covers. I know that I can’t show you everything – they are just way too…

    August Wrap Up

So, August came to its end and now there is the beginning of the autumn coming up. (Yes, I pretty much mess British with American English, and yes, I do prefer the word autumn instead of fall). Anyway, I put myself on a challenge this August and I have to read some books – something like a read-a-thon, but the whole month. There had 7 different categories and I completed 6 of them, so I’m kind of content. Well, let’s see what I did read in the month of August! The Tales of Beedle the Bard Author: J.K. Rowling. As I’m also a fan of this so popular magic game and also very…

I must say that this is a very difficult desicion to choose 3 authors only. And as I recently read a specific series and all other things, there’s a bonus authours in the end. So let’s begin… *** John Ronald Reuel Tolkien This awesome writer really beats them all. I remember when I found “The Fellowship of the Ring” for the first in my mother’s library and decided to give it a try. I think I was 12 years old and the picture of Barad-dur and everything in the book cover looked awesome. I must say that I’m honoured to own a hardback copie, released back in 1990 – the…

    The Book Courtship Book Tag

Okay, this is the first post in here, in which there isn’t an exact book or an author that I write about. But yesterday was the first time that somebody tagged the blog and I thought why not doing it, so here I am. It’s “The Book Courtship Book Tag” and I was tagged by Travelling In My Bookcase Blog. The Book Courtship Tag which was originally created by LovelyLikeLaura. Phase 1 – Initial Attraction: A book that you bought because of the cover? This is definitely “Fallen Too Far” by Abbi Glines. I just fell in love when I saw the cover. And since I know that Abbi Glines…
